Highly functional and aesthetically pleasing
Larry Braverman began his business career as Lorenzo Woodworks in Brooklyn, NY. His cabinet-making and woodworking skills caught the attention of architects, in particular, who enlisted him to do commercial and residential projects.
Larry’s early exposure to projects, such as, the 1964 NY World’s Fair and the TWA terminal at JFK Airport, and witnessing the process from ground-breaking through to the completed works instilled an understanding and appreciation of the building trade. These experiences and Larry’s keen observance have made him a fine sought-after craftsman.
My fascination with wood began during playtime with maple geometric building blocks. I became one with the grain, texture, and integrity of wood as a material in those early years. My woodworking education came from the exposure of furniture and architecture design at the Brooklyn Museum where I came to appreciate the fine, well thought out use of materials and design.
